San Roque has excellent communications; just fifteen minutes away along the dual carriageway is Gibraltar Airport and the port of Algeciras, from where Morocco is only 30 minutes away by ferry. The Costa del Sol is only 30 minutes away along the dual carriageway and toll motorway. The AVE hi-speed trains and Malaga International Airport are only an hour away.

The borough features good communications with Malaga and Cadiz, with Malaga along the AP-7 toll motorway & A-7 dual carriageway and with Cadiz along the A-381 dual carriageway, which in turn is connected to Seville along AP-4 toll motorway.

As far as air connections are concerned, there are 3 airports nearby, the first option is Malaga that offers the largest amount of national and international flights; Jerez is also well-connected with national and European flights. Lastly, Gibraltar offers flights to the UK and Morocco.

With regards to trains, there is a direct connection from Estación de San Roque along the Algeciras – Bobadilla – Madrid line with ALTARIA fast trains.

As far as buses are concerned, San Roque is well-connected with the main towns in the county: Algeciras, La Linea and Gibraltar. Mid-distance connections with Malaga and Cadiz are also good and there are connections to Spanish cities like Seville, Granada or Madrid.

Lastly, the municipal taxi service has a fleet of 52 vehicles at taxi ranks in all the different urban areas in the municipality.
